Great Hiking & Photography Below Hearst Castle; San Simeon, California

My wife and I found this place while on one of our road trips adventures a few years ago. After touring Hearst Castle we wanted to experience the same beach Mr. Hearst and his family & friends would hangout at. So we found  parking, walked down to the beach and then hiked up onto this amazing ridge where the photo was shot. As you can see it's a grand view, with trees, all the sea life, drift wood and across the huge expanse of beach laps the beautiful ocean.

​There is sort of a peninsula with a forest of different trees. Some Pine, Redwood, Oak... This area makes for stunning portraits of people, with nature framing the experience.
